Telecom company Idea Cellular said on Friday that it has been working
with handset manufacturing companies to reduce the cost of mobile
phones. However, the company has made it clear that this proposed
handset will not be subsidized mobiles.

Idea MD Himanshu Kapaniya has given this information to analysts. He
said that the company has worked towards reducing the price of mobile
handsets. Kapaniya said that the ideal price for a handset would be 2500
rupees.
